i need a new crank. The WR has a longer stroke, so is the rod shorter or is the wrist pin-deck shorter on the WR piston.

I have a brand new 12.5-1 JE for the YFZ i should be able to use if it is the rod that is shorter.

Edit: What are the specs on the 06 crank/rod same length as the 04?

I have rebuilt MANY bikes i know whats going on with them.only have questions on crank centerline/ wristpin length

I may be wrong but I think the rotation on the crank itself is longer. The 04 crank is a shorter stroke than the 06.

yea, in 06 the crank has more stroke.
so for that to work with out shoving the piston into the head, one of two things has to happen. EIther the rod is shortened or the wrist pin is moved up the piston making the assembly the original length but with more stroke .

I know that sounds like a pain in the @#$ to read but if you know whats goin' on you know what im talking about.

thanks
