I have an 05 450r with the HRC kit, HMF full exhaust. I am just running the HRC kit's jetting. I am wondering if I should step it up. Will it make a difference and what size jet should I run. I am planning on stepping up the slow jet one size. I would like to get as much out of it as I can. Elevation around here is around 750 ft.

your best bet is take the slow up one size and then turn the screw out 2.5 turns and you should be good. Is your pipe glowing within 5 min of startup? If it is you may want to jump your main as well. you should be in a close proximity of where you need to be though. now you just need to fine tune it.

Ok I will have to try that out. Does anyone know what the HRC jet size is? i would like to get a couple different jet sizes so i have them to play with and when I bump the compression up i can fatten it up a bit.

my buddy is a little mad that every time we race that we race I walk all over him. He has a stock raptor 700. So now he wants to regain the status in the group of having the fastest quad. That is why I am trying to get this power out of it. i just like the look on his face. Noting like healthy competition.

the main jet is a 185 for the 04-05 HRC kits. go to here to get your jets. http://www.bikebandit.com/aftermarket-parts-list?d=1151496+1153788+1230796+1230913 that will take you keihin jets, pick up the 182-200 kit. I havent been able to find the slows anywhere so you will prolly need to go to the shop to get those.
