Windows Movie Maker Help

Whenever i try to import a video from "my videos", it says it doesnt support the file. Can anyone help me by saying how to get it to accept the file? thanks

what kind of video file is it?

It won't work with Apple files, sometimes you can just change the file name, ie if it says .wmv just put .mpg on it. But it doesn't always work... you might just have to get a video file converter and change it. I don't know of any off hand, or free ones for that matter...

i used RAD video tools or whatever its called. its free, and its pretty easy to use. worked for me.
