Eagle One "Etching Mag" Wheel Cleaner. Use that and the green "Scotch Brite" Pads. You can get the wheel cleaner at auto zone or walmart. If you want to see how good it works, heres a pic of before and after. I just found out about this stuff like 2 days ago in my rebuild thread. You will also need to clean off motor after with soap and water as well or the leftover wheel cleaner will leave what looks like corrosion marks on motor but wipes right off and gives motor a nice shine to it.

I'd be real careful using harsh cleaners. It may eat away at the gaskets, and seals. If anything eats (like an acid) into aluminum, I don't think I'd want to use it.

In some instances it may need to be used. As in my case I had pure red hawaii dirt (ie. acid dirt) that was literally impossible to remove with any other cleaner. Do not use them everytime but if you do have a completely stained motor and all else fails kinda thing.
