on my 08er it wont start in gear and the head light wont work anymore after we hooked up the tether switch but we just un hooked the on off button and hooked the teather up to it

It is kind of hard to help without seeing it.You should probably have someone that has done it before help. There are certain things if you unplug will cause other things not to work like the fan.
