Axle And Anti-fade Options For Swap

i just picked up an 05...i was wondering if a 250r/400ex axle will work with correct hubs? anti-fade? or are the center splines different ? i have a nice antifade for a 250r here. thanks

Nope, the 400ex carrier is longer, and so is the mounting area of the axle.
The 250r stuff is also different from what I've seen.

A retailer sent me the wrong carrier 1 time (400ex) and it was about 3/16" too long for the swinger. Would have massive side to slide slop.
And once my neighbor was in a pinch for a race had to run a 400ex carrier even though it moved side to side, and shattered his rear sprocket because of it.
