How do I go about removing shock springs? Wanna get them PC'd. Will it affect the valving etc? When spring are put back on shock will I need to get them serviced or its just a take off put back on deal? All input is much appreciated. Thanks.

Turn them upside down in a vise and use a spring compressior compress the spring remove the lower spring clip and the spring will come off. This will not affect the valving has nothing to do with taking the springs off. If the shocks are more than a year old and have a lot of ride time I would recommend a service.

yes, compress the spring. i just use my hands and body weight. but if your not as big as i am it might prove difficult. haha. get a clamp or spring compressor. take off the bottom stay and remove the springs. its fairly easy.

If you can't do it by yourself, have a friend compress the springs for you while you take the bottom piece off.
