So i was dinking around on the internet comparing the 450R and YFZ (and all 450's in general) and i started looking on GTThunders site and all their dyno runs on a 2005 YFZ.

I'm sure most of you have seen this or similar graphs, but im guessing lots havent.

I think its pretty amazing how much more power can be gotten out of the motor without spending any money. With just taking the baffle out, and removing the airbox lid and the cam mod. All free, you can slap out like 5 more peak HP. That's without rejetting even. After jetting you can get a 6ish peak HP increase. And on both overall you get increases across the board.

I thought this was pretty impressive. For little to no money you can get an extremely nice performance boost. The only thing you'd have to pay for is jets. Which are cheap as hell.

So thats a peak HP of approx 48 for basically no money.

I just saw all of this and thought it was worth sharing. There are several more dyno runs showing a few different steps they took here:

I wonder if any other 450 can match these gains this cheaply.

Oh yeah, this is also on a 2005 which was still a 439cc right? i imagine the increase would be even more on the 2006+ models.

i dunno as how those arent inflated dyno numbers... but... for the 1st year i had my YFZ, i took the baffle out, had the lid off with a pro-desgin K&N, and rejetted it, and that sucker screamed...

if you know how to ride it you can still beat 90% of the people up the hill at the dunes with it...

i know mine out ran a 06 HRC Honda, with comparable rider ability, weight, and equal tries...
