What will I need to extend my blaster?

Hey guys great forum, recently i bougth a blaster"00" its a great machine but its a bit shoort for me, I want to know what are the things i will need to do this project, thanks for all help.

5 x 6" piece of 1/4" steel and a die grinder or somthing to cut the swing arm and then a welder to weld in the extention pieces.
