Playing with my Christmas present!

Actually, at my age I pretty much buy what i want, and I wanted a new lens. It is a Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8

I was able to con cody into hitting the woods for a quick shoot to try it out

Sounds good Kenny.Low light shooting is an area I find myself struggling in.here are a few I took this evening.I was only using the built in flash.I have a 430ex flash unit but didn't mess with it this evening.I am sure that would have helped.

Now that I have a smaller zoom, I can get some different perspectives. I sold my 17-55 quite some time ago and had to finish the race season with larger telephoto's:p

nice pics, the two helmets shown are GMAX, they still make the black one but the stars/stripes is no longer made. The black one is called a 46X Derk

helmet is a Gmax 36x, but i do not believe that color scheme is available anymore. they can still be found NOS or on ebay still. only a $69 helmet so it is reasonable for the budget minded.
