I finally got some good suspension under my quad and now I'm ready to start building the engine up. I am looking at putting a CP 13.5:1 piston in first......are aftermarket cams any better than stock cams with cam mod done or is there anything else I should do prior to installing a new piston? What kind of gains will I see with this new piston, I want some thoughts. :blah:

I would do exhaust and intake first before any engine mods. I heard the FCI intake is the way to go. As for the pipe, if you dont mind loud, get the 9in. Nmotion. I would get cams last because the stock ones on the YFZ's are good.

I know I didn't say, but I already have an exhaust.

This is my bikes motor setup......Hotcams, hi-flow impeller, full duncan racing exhaust(fatboy4-jet kit) K&N air/oil filter, airbox lid off......And i highly suggest a Wiseco piston!!

Yeah, I will look into getting a new intake and the piston. Thanks for all the help everyone.
