Ok changed the oil to 15w 50.....reset valves"again".....they clatter like crazy.....wherent that noisey when I first git it.....someone help......should they be that noisey?

what kinda bike???? their are valve adjustments on every bike, get a manual and check it out, that could lead to bad things

are you sure it's the valves clattering? i'm not trying to discount your skills,,,does it do it all the time, or just when you lug it?,,,later

Have you checked ur timing chain it could be loose and my be smacking inside,just my 2 cents:devil

in the EX TECH section at the top of the site there is a section that tells you how to adjust your valves on a 400ex, it's called
D-I-Y valve adjustments

Rocker arms might be worn.
I think mine are headin that way.

Dont think it is the rocker arms...LOL havent had it only like 6 months....seems like every time I ajust the valves they get noiser
