yea, for 5000. you can get a nice 450.

I agree, but if you had to choose between the two engines I'd say the YZ400F engine. Far more potential in that engine than the air cooled 400EX.

i was going to say the same thing, apparently you guys are unaware just how advanced that engine is? it has at least 5 more stock hp than a 450r, and if you bored it out to a full 450cc, added a pipe/silencer, got a port and polish, put in a higher compression piston and then put cams in there, you great engine for well under your price limit. not only that but the engine would probably be putting out mid 50s to low 60s for hp.

but i would get a 450:devil:
