View Full Version : Just cut the pink wire

I cut my pink wire on the ds450 to set it in race mode. It dosen't
fill like the same bike It has way more TQ on the bottom end.
It has more HP now in the mid & high rpm. The bike is running
a little rich but not bad. I raced a 2008 700 raptor that had
the air box lid pulled off & they pulled the exhuast core out.
With the ds 450 stock the raptor 700 could beat it every time
it would jump out in frount and pull the hole race. After a 1/4
of a mile the raptor 700 would be out frount 3 bikes. After cutting
the pink wire the ds 450 jumps out in frount about 1 bike and will
stay out there untill 5th gear were the raptor will pull very slowly.
It takes the raptor 1/4 mile before it start to gain on the ds450.
After seeing this I would love to see what this bike would do with
a full exhuast system and a air K&N cleaner set up.

Did you pull your baffel and airbox lid? You prolly won't notice much of a diffrence if you don't.

Yes I did I pulled the air box lid and removed the exhuast baffel.
Just by doing them 3 little things makes way more HP & TQ

guys is this safe to do so cutting the wire removing airbox lid with stock filter still being used and taking out exhaust spark arrestor?? might sound silly but their isnt alot of help here for these quads in australia, i just bought the bike and i dont want to damage the bike. if its safe but ill give it a crack. does it really make a good difference?? feed back please.

There is plenty of help in Australia, you just need to talk to the right people that specialise in quads.

just cut the wire and took the airbox lid off, runs and sounds sweet as. really happy,an amazing bike

i hated ridin around for 5 hours slowly n takin it easy...it took for ever lol, i was use to jumpin on my ds650 and beatin the crap out of it lol:D
