2008 season

Well, i dont get on here anymore. The race season is closing in pretty fast. Just looking in to see what everyone is riding for the 2008 season and what series everyone plans to race in.

It's a rough one for me, i had plans to run the full Pro-Am series, but I made a few tough decisions. I dropped out of college to try to expand my business and will also start a second shift job. Sold everything i had, trailer, race bike, practice, all spare parts. All i have is my gear. It's my first winter without building a new bike. Next spring is going to be weird without riding AT ALL!

So, lets see what your bikes are looking like, at this point, and what everyones plans are.

Mine is sittin in the shop, the head is off of the motor all of the valves and valve springs are taken out and so is the piston. Can't wait to finish the thing!!!

my build happened in the summer so im just tryin to rack up some seat time this winter before the season starts. I plan on running the tqra series in open B.

Should have the plastics, bars, precision, linkage all here after xmas. Everything else sometime between now and march, lol.

JRP if your going to get white plastic you should get the stock Honda. Will mount up perfect then...

Heres my 450 so far this winter, the elka shock was wrong so i just sold it and got a PEP with JB superlink, should be picking up the swing arm next week, it will have fox floats up front

Trying to finish up mine! I will catch the last 3 or 4 rounds of the BASS Arenacross. Then in the spring its B class D-17 races Casey, ILL, and Hord, ILL. Maybe a few Taylorville. I will prolly run some of the Illini series to get honda contegency. Then some money class races at local fairs!

For 2008 Im running the full national series in A class. As of right now Im not ready for it at all. Since 2007 was the worst it could of possibly been I have a lot of work to go to be ready. My quad will remain the same with the exception of New Laker plastic, QT hump seat, MotoXperts motor/tranny, and some other odds n' ends.

Here is a picture of how it sits right now. I have to wake up and see this every morning, yes I get depressed every morning.

But on an up note I am aiming for everything to be done shortly. I also enjoy playing with my new tools and work bench that I made.

All in all I am hoping I will have just a tiny bit of luck for 08 because that is better than the no luck at all I had in 07.

Josh, looks sick also. I might see ya around at Casey every once in awhile. I still like to go kick it at the track if i have time off work.

Awesome. I hope you can get a quad together! Think you will be up to par to run A class again? I know you were fast last year. Sometimes time off can be good, but other times it can be bad lol. Hope to see you around!

Yea i hope so. I ran the first 3 nationals this year, then i won the first A class Illini Super Series race at Casey. After that i was done. Im looking for a trashed bike right now so i can start building one. I guess time will tell how everything goes. Good luck next season.

well lets see here i am racign the daniel boone round of the wpsa in the c class and hopefully todd macke gets the disabled class going... so i will be trainin like crazy so i can crack the top 10 in the c class. i also have to advocate for myself like crazy so i will be able to race motocross again in canada. but for my yfz add snow board bindings to secure my feet better replace soem bearings and bushings adding a rpm dominator 2 axle, getting a new front rotor. lookin over the top end and rekluse clutch. add a pivot riser andset of flexx bars

Yeah I noticed you won one of the Illini races. I will prolly be at the Lorettas national, and the Ballance national also. I haven't raced a national yet, but i'm looking forward to it.
