Subframe metal

Is the subframe steel or aluminum? I need to have my grab welded back on after going over an obsticle and busting it off..I think the one piece design is stupid but o well..Im getting the PRM grabbar after I weld my stock on back on..i just need to know what its made of.

70 bucks new if you dont feel like welding it. if you weld it you going to have to brace it pretty good

I dont wanna have to tear it half down and i dont wanna spend 70 bucks for a new one..I already have it clamped up and everything to be welded..I dont think its gunna move

Do what you want but if your going to just mig the crack its just going to break again. I would slip some tube over it (kinda like a hot dog in a bun ) or add a gusset so you have more surface area.

dont over tube it, run a piece INSIDE of it. it will be much stronger.

already there..but im not to worried about the stock one b/c im getting an aftermarket one that will go over the stocker
