just kidding. i took apart my engine and put it back together. all parts are acounted for, except for 1 snap ring. its not for the axle, rear brake, steering stem or crankcase, so im thinking its for one of the sidecases or the head. its an 04 400ex. please help me. im on a deadline

most people arent interested in: "i dont know where this possibly vital snap ring goes" now are they? and like i said im on a deadline and need help fast, so i need a lot of people to read this

How big is it (in mm)? Is it internal or external (i.e. over a shaft or into a tube)?

Did you have the tranny apart? There's a handful of circlips in there. You mentioned sidecases. There is a 24mm internal circlip that holds an oil seal in the right case cover.
