need help wont start!

my cam chain tensioner broke and i put a new one in and put it in time and now it wont start i checked every thing like my plugs, the carb. when i try to start it it will back fire though the carb could it be out of time????plz help

sounds like the cam could be upside down

how could u put it upside down the lobes are pointing down

I believe they have to point toward the exhaust...not sure though

With the motor at top dead center on the compression stroke the cam lobes should be pointing down.

k ill check it and see if its on the comp stroke and ill let u know if thats it.

nope that wasnt it. i guess i have to tare the topend apart to see whats going on:ermm:ermm:

well bad news i found out whats wrong. it bent one of the valves on the intake side:(

kok i got the valves in and getting ready to put the head back on:D
