ok. i was putting my engine back together last night, and i was a bit puzzled by a small snap ring that was unaccounted for. everything else seemed to fit fine, and i cant find the piece in my sevice manual. any suggestions on where it goes?
oh and by the way its 2004 400ex

and its not the one on the axle, rear brake, steering stem or inside the crankcase. im thinking its from one of the side cases but im not 100%
