View Full Version : anyone with a service manual? need some quick torque specs

I need the torque specs for the following:

Front shock upper/lower mounts
Rear shock upper/lower mounts
Rear linkage bolts
Footpeg bolts.

shock mounting nut (front) = 33 ft. lbs.
shock mounting nut (rear) = 43 ft. lbs.
shock link to swingarm nut = 33 ft. lbs.
shock arm to frame nut = 43 ft. lbs.
shock arm to shock link nut = 43 ft. lbs.
footpeg bracket bolt = 31 ft. lbs.

Buy a service manual. You'll have more questions that need answered down the road.

Yeah I'm bidding on one on ebay. Haven't really taken apart my quad until today.

In the meantime, can I get the specs for the big bolt at the bottom of the steering stem and the bolts that connect the tierods to the steering stem. That should be all for now. Thanks.

steering stem nut is 51 ft. lbs.
tie rod nuts are 33 ft. lbs.

Thanks guys...

Putting on front/rear Elkas, IMS-Roll Steering Stem with new bars, and IMS Pegs/Heelguard. It'll be nice when I'm done..i'll take some pics. Almost there, just need to put on the rear shock/linkage. Can't wait to ride it...
