i need some help

I just got a 1991 Honda 250X, it has a 15 to 1 Wiseco piston, and is a Curtis Sparks engine, i cant seem to get it to start, if you just keep trying it either floods or eventually starts...what is the problem?

did you ask the guy that you bought it from if he was using race gas because that is a high 15-1 piston in there, i don't know if that is right but i think you should be using race gas

he said it didnt matter, but he was running 1/2 racing, 1/2 pump, thanx
