hey guys, i was wondering about buying a trial tech vapour atv computer for my trx 450r.
are they any good? and are they easy to install?

any input would be great, thanks and merry xmas

i have just installed mine 2 week ago.

it'S work well. a bit slow for rpm reading but in 3-4-5 gear it's okay! in 1-2 it's almost too quick for the computer :P

you hit rev limiter before it read it.

water temp work flawlessly !

not too hard to install, but you need to be carefull ! since you need to wire it to the atv!

you need to drill a 1/8 hole to fix the speed sensor, cut 1 of your radiator hoses to install the water temps sensor, install the rpm sensor wire on your spark plug wire! and wire the vapor to your electrical system.

it's took my about 1.5h to install the whole kit! including radiateur flush and re-fill.

i was using a endurance one on my old 400ex, and havent got any prob with that, i hope it's gonna be the same for the vapor one!

im looking for one too for my 06 450ER but i wanted to do the Handlebar clamp dash but now that i look i cant because of the key and lights, i really didnt want it on the handlebars but oh well i guess. i want a nice computer i dont care about the difficulty of installation but if anyone has certain suggestions about mounting and installation techniques please post


and are they really worth the money? they seem really nice to have

there is some bar clamp on it! that you can mount on the left or right of the handle bar...

i know i just think the dash mounts look so much nicer but i have Pro Taper bars i just got in anyways so i guess ill just mount them to that.
