Say good bye to the stock raptor

This week will find our stock Raptor 250 being disassembled for a complete overhaul! We will be doing a full build on the quad and reviewing some new parts for it.

Mainly strengthening the frame and upgrading the suspension will be our main focus, along with some new color to set it apart on the line in the Youth production class in the GNCC's:macho

Cody gets 1 more week off, then it's to the gym for him as he gets ready for the 2008 season!

What your plans for the rear end?

And are you doing any engine mods also?

LSR axle out back, we havent settled on a rear shock but we arent done talking to Fox yet either.


Possibly a pipe, but its fast enough to get the job done stock

Its gonna be hard deciding on a pipe, because no one really has the 250's yet, and there isnt alot of people that can say how their pipe preformed.

I wouldnt go HMF out of spite, because everyone has one.:rolleyes:

For the rear shock, i would either go fox or elka. Maybe axis. Not too sure

If it were me id be doing a blue frame with black a arms and swinger. throw on a set of hipers with blue rings and oh man id want to ride that thing!!!!!!

Both.

White frame with white plastics.

Black lower a-arms, with chrome or whie uppers.

Black stem

Hipers with black rings.

Black nerfs.

You know the drill.:p

black may get the nod for the frame color as with this being anew model, and even with gusseting the frame, things can break and black is the easiest to touch up if it needs repair if the frame cracks etc.

hipers are out due to weight, rotational mass on a small quad is self defeating, same with beadlocks. he has put alot of racing miles down on regular reinforced rims without issue so we wont be making any changes.

Lol, I was just saying that I thought it would look sick all whited out.

Its pappy's/cody's quad, so they can do what they want. I know what im doing when I have my next rebuild though:devil:

He already said above, because the raptor in alot more nimble and almost as powerful, he was turning up lap times about 6 sec's quicker than he did on the honda.

honestly i doubt it. he will ride mx for training but he wants to go fast in the trees
