Hey, I am kinda new to quads. (ive had one forever, but just getting into the actual workings of it)

But i was wondering what would require the quad to be rejetted.
Like new exhaust system, carbs, cams, cranks, etc.?

Thanks.

Anytime the air flow into or out of the combustion chamber the jetting may need to be adjusted.

Extreme changes in altitude and air temperature will have an effect too.

[Do you have to rejet if you get a slip on?

yes. Even a stock 400 could need jetted. All jetting is , is making sure your engine is getting the right amount of fuel for how much air it is burning.

You can pull the spark arrester and normaly change the air filter and be fine with jetting. Any thing else the carb needs to be adjusted.

Some slip ons say you dont need to rejet but its fake. The only slip ones you can put on and not need to rejet are slip ons that have disks cause you can take away disks to decrease the amount of air flow but that just makes the slip on no better than stock.

And most quads come lean from factory.
