I know it would take some modifications, but i found raptor plastics for $100.

How hard do you think it would be to adapt them to the 400ex, because i love the look of the rappies.

thanks, eric

why would you want to? the 400ex has its own unique look that everyone recognizes. And i think the raptor plastic would be bigger anyways, so it would probably look bad. and lastly, its putting yamaha parts on a honda. and that just isnt right

lol, i love yamaha. It may be on a Honda but thats all right for me. :D

I dont think ill do it, because they are 2 way diff. geometries so it wouldnt work out right.

if you really want to do it, contact laker customs and they might be able to custom make you a set.
they do that custom stuff.

Buy a Blue P.O.S if you want the "Rappie" look. Even if you want the plastics it will break down all Yammies do they are crap.

BS!!!

I undterstand people being brand biased, but your kinda pushin the line.

Every single yamaha we've owned (alot) has never let us down, and never had a single problem. Yamaha wins almost all the shootouts in almost all the magazines.

Yamaha is my #1 favorite with honda in 2nd.

Yammies are not crap at all!

If yamaha made a 400 sport quad i wouldve ditched the 400ex and got a yamaha. But the 400ex is a good bike and im still happy with it.

The only brand i hate with a passion is polariis

Who cares if they win shootouts in mags like dirtwheels that mag and many others are very biased. A Honda will out last a Yamaha any day. Hate to burst your little bubble though. :devious:

exactly what the guy above me said... if you want yamaha parts, at least have a wheeler they will fit, and im sure you could sell that 400 and make the money to buy a craptor. that would at least justify you gettin the plastics. and someone really shouldnt go by mag shootouts, becuz there is also lots of things they dont test, like long term reliability, or how they wheelers work in different conditions or there are many other things. and whats wrong with your 400 plastic anyways?

c'mon this thread wasn't posted so you guys can argue over manufacturers. quit it.

but anyways, i don't think it would work, because the gas tanks are different, the seat design is different, i think raptor's are longer too..

not worth it in the long run imo, but i will admit it would be pretty cool

yeah, i already pretty much thought it out and they are 2 different geometries.

I dont care what you guys say about yamaha, they are the best brand out there, IMO.

We've owned alot of them, never broke down, always ran great, and we loved them.

The only raptor that i call a craptor is the 01's. Those suck because they had trans problems. But they fixed that in 02.

If you really wanna do it then do it..dont let people tell you its not worth your time and ****. If you really wanna take the time and money..in your case its gunna be alot of time for the custom look you want then go for it..

I dont think im going to, because they are 2 complete different bikes so it would take alot of work.

I might put 450r or new style 400ex plastics on instead
