anyone put a 400ex rear shock on a 250ex ? Does it bolt right on ? How does it sit ? Higher, lower the same ? I just know that 400ex shocks are adjustable vs the 250ex shocks.
Thanks,

i am pretty sure that they wont fit, you would to do some mass fabricating to get them to fit.

dont do it bad idea, dumb idea. with the travl the 400e xrear shock actually has and if you were to use even half I would bet on your exhaust smashing your drivetrain.

Ok, I was just trying to "upgrade" the front and rear shocks with something else that was adjustable and didn't cost and arm and a leg. I knew if I could get stock ones off of another machine it would be cheaper.
Thanks,
Raz

the thing you can do that is cheaper than after market, is buy a 2001 raptor 660 rear shock, get the right bolts and just drill the brachet wholes bigger. then just get the raptor shock resprung for like 80 bucks. that wat i did or am doing, cuz i alredy have the shock. The raptor shock is comp, preloud, and rebound adjustible.

300ex shocks I would think bolt right up.

on the 300ex I think they are preload only... i think. And the 400ex the rear is fully adjustable and the fronts are only preload adjustable
