you would wont to talk off, but you wont get much. might as well keep it stock

yeah heavier would be like a longer flat drag more top. Lighter is for more acceleration and pull up a hill it will feel more torquey. Stock should be fine if anything just take a bit off not much

you can't remove anything from the stock flywheel...UNLESS you have it rebalanced

i would just buy the sparks -6

but be warned i had one and it cracked....2days later my crank rod snapped and trashed the whole motor

it does take off faster with the -6 but i think you lose topend speed

deffinitely go smaller.. don't want to start a war but it doesn't take from the top end you just get there faster so it seems like it.

The flywheel won't do what your looking for and porting will wake you 450 up..

whats your bike set up for, ares is set up for 300ft. sand drags, have you ever ran a 300ft. sand drag ? if so what kind of lights do pull, whats your 60ft. and whats your et.

reaction - .500-.550
60ft. - 1.7 secs.
et. - 5.14's
mph - 59-61

most likely yes are 450 would out run yours in 300 yd. sand drags, we dont have alot of money in it but we do have a lot of time and sometimes thats better as far as set up goes.

stock 450s run anywhere from 5.90's- 6.40s depending on rider, it takes a lot to pull of 1 second in 300 feet of sand, money cant buy you everything, i could easily send the motor off to duncan or trinity but if i dont know **** about a quad and put tire on the back that doesnt do ****, or run stock or mx tires, even a dune paddle wont help you, it takes a 4-snow or a custom paddle to really hook up for a 1.70 60ft. man, were located in va and we drag at slades and newtown drag way, if you want some come get some ! buy the way 180+ hp banshees run 3.60-4.20's, like i said its not money or hp, its a combination of all that plus time* and good sense of drag racing.

You are killing man!! I have over 60HP and I race at silver lake in the sand all the time I know how to drag.. We don't need timers to say how fast we are.... :muscle: Just come to silver lake this summer and race but the one thing after we race I can go for a trail LOL

you too man, wasnt trying to bash just wanted to make a point and mx bike is not good for tt, and good dune runner does make a quick 4-5 sec drag bike, every quad has pros and cons my roomys bike being as it goes fast straight line and cant jump, trail , ride at night and bunch of other ****, also has no front brakes whole esembly inlcuding rotors lines and even lever gones, the bike wieghts in a little under 300 fully fueled and oiled ! but i would like to see times from others so i will post a new thread.

quit bickering over who has the bigger balls. if you want a little gain cheap but not much instead of the lighter flywheel do the CRF electrical system. Better spark and the engine work will be focused more towards power instead of powering the not needed crap.

you can also do just a CDI they work decent and give you a little more rpm's to pull a little longer in the higher torque gears (1-3) the torque is good but the longer you spin the slower you get to finish so buy a few different sprockets up and down to find your fastest time. Adding the extra clutch plate also helps in drag for less internal engine slipping. and is the 450r a kicker or elec start? if electric start you may want to think about converting to the kicker. Less weight and once again less useless crap you lose engine HP to.
