I am up to 50% ethanol and it makes a difference. I started to use it because i was getting a little bit of rattle when it was under a hard load at lower engine speeds and it cured it. I started adding more and it is a noticable power gain. If you want to step up to methanol i would watch the rubber lines and the fuel tank. Im not sure if it will eat them or not. One thing you can do is always keep the tank full and sealed when not in use and to use a top lube. If you run straight ethanol take your jet orfice size up about 15% (not the number the actual hole diameter) to start and if you go to methanol your going to have to go even larger. I cant give you a good number because i dont have any first hand experience with running it through a carb. You will also need to change the needle.

hmm. sounds like it actually works pretty good. i run about a 185-190 jet in warm weather, what do you think i would be running like the jet number. i have jets that go up past 220 i think, i will have to go check.

What year?

If you have an FCR, I'm pretty sure Sudco sells an alcohol "jet kit". Also, I believe Racers Edge in Tucson AZ (screen name = R3Concepts) has run alcohol through the 04/05 carb. He may be able to help.
