I got a 450 engine for a project quad and it has efi and i dont want it, what do i have to do to remove the efi and make it carbeurated? can i use a kfx400 wiring harness if the engine is switched to carb?

I think your best bet would be using a kx450f wiring harness.

Hey you have to change the stator and fly wheel too the ecu controls the timing. then you can use the wiring from the KX 450F
run the EFI use a smaller battery kawasaki do not have a charging problem like theYFZs
plus kawasaki makes a new ECU that is now programable & do's the timing too

The only down side to the kx450f harness is no lights, rad fan.

Don't mean to steal your thread but i put a kx450f in my z400. What the kxf stator fit my kx so i could power some lights? I know i would have to play with the harness and put a voltage regulater to the lights and they would get better as the angine reved.
