my little cousins vavles on his 300 are wicked loud and i wanna adjust them how do i do it? can some one give me directions thank you!!!!

.006 on exhaust and .004 on intake, is what i adjust mine to. just remove plastic and tank then remove the covers and its pretty simple if you have done it before.

0.004 Intake (0.100mm)
0.004 Exhaust (0.100mm)

I'm 99% sure it should be .004 for intake AND exhaust.
.004 intake/.006 exhaust is for the 400ex.
If you do a search for "300ex valve adjustment" you should find quite a few posts on the subject.

You are correct. 0.004 intake and exhaust on stock valves w/ stock cam.
I'm running oversized exhaust valves and an agressive aftermarket cam on mine which are adjusted to 0.006" gap.

I wondered...I know you are one of the more knowledgeable 300ex guys on here so I was hesitant to question your post. lol

Quick note, if you have someone else tune your valves be very specific about what you want them tuned into. I've seen too many quads go through a shop and come out worse than before because many shops find valve tunings out of out-dated or dirtbike specs.
I've seen it all too often in my area at least.
