Local shop has a slightly used one for CHEAP (they only used for dyno testing). Anyone have any firsthand knowledge on these exhausts? Good, bad, indifferent?

Pretty good quality. They were more popular before the 450's came out. Dont really see to much of them any more, but if you can get a good deal on it why not? If I remember, they use a reverse megaphone setup similar to the ron woods pipes and they also use the disc setups on the end. Should perform decently.

They're a SoCal race shop. It's the same exhauast that Temecula Motorsports runs on their Baja race bikes. I fidured it couldn't be too bad and if it was it would be a cheap enough loss.

Just picked it up this evening, nice looking exhaust. I've got a stage 2 Hotcams & Pro Design adapter w/K&N to install. Would I be able to get away with an HRC jet kit or should I buy a kit w/a variety to tweak it if need be?

The HRC wasnt enough with addition of prolly the same filter kit and a curtis sparks exhaust. It comes with the 185 main. Up the main to probly a 190 main and you may also need to up the slow jet one size.

Do you even know the year of his 450R? If it's 06 or newer those jetting recommendations are WAY off, and if its an 04/05, probably only a little off.

None of us have any way of telling you exactly what jets are going to work. I would try the HRC jet kit, for ease of use first, then see how it runs. Every motor is different, and we're all at different locations/temperatures/humidities/elevatiosn and the like.

dude, do u have anythign better to do than just quote me and talk ****. if you ask me your a worthless pos that can just explain things better. And no i dont knwo what year his bike is but if it is 04/05 i just put him dang near the ballpark figure of where he needs to be. And to be honest, the HRC kit is for the HRC mods, you add one thing and the jettign for HRC mods is not right anymore.
