with the time and money i could make just about anything except for engine parts but im a college student on a budget and i dont have a whole lot of time just looking for something relatively easy to make to keep me busy during my christmas break. but feel free to mention bigger projects theres always summer!

You could try to make a 250r style seat latch, I think I'll try one this winter too.

what about a 3 1/2 degree timing advance key, similar to sparks but you could run them with high compression and larger bore sizes. I would imagine with a degree wheel and a milling machine a stock piece could be used and you could sell them. Well maybe its just a crazy idea.

You care to explain that one a little more? I've got both and they look like the same design to me.

This attaches to the underside of the seat and replaces the stock latch/lever. The two posts go through the black rubber pieces the back of your seat sits on. This way the seat doesn't fall off going through whoops, like it will if your stock lever is worn.

how heavy do you think it will end up being? i think aluminum would be best but i dont know how to brace it so it wont bend

so far the components are 9.5 lbs all i need is the tabs for the dog bone and the filler rod, so it shouldnt be more than the 11 lbs stock unit , but will be 2 inches longer.
