Went riding yesterday. We decided to go to the local stock car races afterwards. I parked the truck with the trailer in a well lit area with lots of people coming and going, which is next to the dragstrip which was getting ready to have races also. Anyway, when we got back to the truck, the trailer with both quads was gone.(My 400ex and my friends blaster) Someone used bolt cutters on the trailer lock and took the whole thing. I had locked both quads together on the trailer, but I never expected them to take the whole trailer, especially with everyone around. They had some serious balls for sure. Wish I had backed the trailer up against the fence. I had liability insurance on my 400, but no theft. Two lessons learned the hard way. :(

well actually, it might be easier to find out who took them since trailers have plates on them. Id be contacting the police, insurance, the track, and put signs up

Go back to the track, if they were there once, theyd be there agian, ask everyone if they were there last week and if they saw anything.

Sorry again

Sorry to hear that. Do you have a recent picture and the vin #? If so post them. I'll keep a lookout for it down south.

I'm covering all of the bases with the police, insurance, track, etc. Heres a pic of what it look likes. It has omf airscoops on it since this was taken. This happened right above Jacksonville, Florida at the Jax raceway.
I'll pay a cash reward if someone finds it. My friends quad was a 2002 white and black Blaster. The trailer was a small 5X8 steel utility with boards mounted so two quads could be fit on sideways. Thanks everyone.

bad things happen to good people. people think i'm crazy for thinking this way but i realized that if and when i make it to heaven, i'll get to see all of those pictures that got ruined. i'll see videos of me riding and everything! i'll be reunited with several of my family members that have been lost. i will get all the stuff i got lost and stolen back. i will have whatever i want. i'll be riding with everyone, i'll learn how to do supermans and everything. lose some to get everything later.

in Virginia a trailer & its contents are covered by the vehicle policy that is towing it. This goes for trailers under a certain size. Most single axle trailers without their own brakes.

Howard, I'm sorry to hear about the theft:( I had 2 quads stolen myself right from the garage. They were uninsured and home owner's didn't cover them. One was brand new and hadn't even had the first payment made on it.

Is there a way of telling the cops and they keep an eye out for your lisncse plate number or something, im sure there is sumthing you can do for theft.. i kjnow there is..I dont see how it is possible at a drag strip and someone steals a trailer and hooks it onto there truck and noone gets curious.. are you sure you didnt leave it somehweres like ur firends house or maybe ur house:huh

one thing that will makeit a little easier to find if someone sees it is it has a black seat with red plastic. not to many of them out there. so keep that in the back of your minds when you are out and if you see a red 400 look to see if the seat is black. sorry to here about that dude. i would keep my eyes open thats for sure. good luck

Well, 2 other groups of people got caught a little while ago for stealing quads and mx bikes. One of the Barney's was broken into, and an Xtreme Powersports was broken into. Luckily, one of the guys was out riding one of the stolen quads, and he got injured (broke his ankle? I can't remember). Hopefully they will try to register the bikes to ride at Croom and when they do the VINs will show up as stolen. I'll keep an eye out around here. Any details on the Blaster? I haven't seen many quads with Elkas, so it might be that much easier to spot. Hope these guys get caught. :(

Well, i've called everyone including several motorcycle shops, plus i'll be visiting the local riding areas over the next few weeks. Theres alot of eyes looking. I guess if i get it back, it was meant to be. If not, then it wasn't. Thanks everyone for your support.

That GPS locator chip sounds like a good idea. I'm gonna check into that for the next one.

chances are slim that you will see it again in the same state and whoever took it has probably already gotten rid of it there's also one on ebay that is being pieced out i've seen every part except for the frame the sub frame is on there but not the frame
