Last night I figured we would be without power and looking at snow and ice for the next few days.

We got about a 1/4 inch of ice but alot of rain (which i am thankful for we need it bad)

Ice is always cool to look at, but no fun to drive in

The backyard was covered and when the sun came out it fogged up so bad you could barely see from all the melting going on:p

Cody shot a big doe friday night with his bow, and saturday moring I tried tracking it down. I found teh arrow 700 yards from the spot he shot it, covered inblood but not a single drop of blood was to be found. He shot his bow yesterday to see what was up and it is pulling to the right:scary: I love the new sight we put on it, but we are thinking it is not holding a zero:grr:

This weather has been terrible lately! I must've shoveled my sidewalk and patio 3 times this week! Today was the worst of them all - 6in of snow with an inch of ice on the top. Took 2 hours to finish shoveling.

Now I have to study for a chem final for tomorrow, then go back out and plow. Mother nature is askin for a b!tch slap right across her face!

The wind picked up here about 2 pm, and we started getting slammed. I lost some tree's and the boys and i were running as we dodged tree limbs while we set and checked our trapline.

Power went out around 4:30pm, generator is running, woodstove is fired up(with a nice deer roast simmering in a dutch oven on top of it:devil: )

I have a few things running in the house off the generator....the big screen and my computer:p Hopefully they get power back on shortly, the power company says by tuesday:scary:

be thankful you didnt get alot of ice....i guess my little town was mention on cnn or fox as being one of 3 of the hardest hit towns in the ice storm that came through...no power for 5 days, they are telling people up to 22 days that live way out there.....our generator seized up when we tried to start it which sucked...here some pics of the first morning after it hit..its still bad and weve got 6" of snow on top of it now.

Oh, man, do we need snow up here in Tahoe.

Last year was the worst year I have EVER seen for skiing. I think we saw about 6 inches from January to March (average is about 12 feet in that same time frame).

We had one little flurry a week ago for about 6 inches, and that was it.

Without snow and skiing, what's the point of living in Tahoe?
