Yes, I know this topic has been "beaten to death" but I would like to start this one because as I looked at the other ones people where posting comments with there picutes like this: "I know this isn't the best but I like it" and here you dont have to say that! Here you can post your pictures and feel proud of your quad! So, now that I have said that, I want to state one more thing.. 400EX's ONLY! It can be 400EX to 503EX! And I'll make an acception to 250R for they are just a sick quad.

Here is how to post a picture if you don't know..

1) Take a Picture of what you want
2) upload it to the computer
3) save it to your computer or remember what file it's under
4) go to: http://www.photobucket.com
5) make a free account
6) find your file or picture and click on it
7) upload your picture
8) click on Direct Link and it will automatically copy the URL
9) open a post
10) click on the IMG button
11) right click and paste URL

I know that this is going to be a stupid question but I have to ask. I have been trying to post a picture of my atv on this thread and it does not work. I have also tryed to attach a picture and it does not work. Sometimes i get a message stating that the picture is to big. I tryed looking at the FAQ link and that was no help. Anyone mind telling me how to post pictures, please be detailed. Thank you in advance.

Its not a stupid question.. I am sure many people have the same question but are afrade to ask. Wel, this is how I do it:

Quadracer im liking ur quad alot, thats basically my quad only in red though, but my arms are all chrome. To me them somewhat look like they are +2 arms but maybe its just the angle of the pic.

I like the axis shocks alot, they ride very smooth. They are some of the best shocks I have ever rode with.

Cool, will he run Steele Creek GNCC in Morganton, NC (March 29-30)??

I like it alot. I'm not big on REAL loud pipes. the AB is loud enough imo. it has kindof a deep throaty sound. I'll be getting a full head pipe for it sometime. I've spent too much money already this winter though.

Here is my 2001 rebuild in progress... Some goodies are 426 kit, Hotcams stage 2, White Bros exhaust, Graydon muffler, Lectron carb, Works triple rate front shocks w/ resivors (not installed yet), Maxxis Razr2, Roll Design front a-arms +1, +1, powder coated frame, swingarm, and wheels.

Bummer is I put more into this than if I would have gone and got a 450...oh well...project not done yet...hopefully soon...

I try my hardest to stay AWAY from mud if I can help it. I mean, if the track is wet, then so be it, but if im trial riding, I stay clear of the mud.:p

I've been to glamis but not with this quad...I usually ride at El Mirage, it's a dry lake bed that is flat for miles, it also has some hills surrounding it. It's really nice, I was there on Thanxgiving weekend...

Yeah if I see mud I turn right around and find another way around. Mud sucks unless you have a 4x4 with a snorkel and crap. Now water is a different story. I water cross it if its there.

Im iffy about water. If its shallow and I can see the bottom then i'll cross it.

I would lose a GNCC race for sure...Id spend the whole time, just looking for a way around all the mud holes. :D

how did you colour your light ? cuz all i used was electrical tape to do the same and it looks wicked :D and are you running spacers in the rear ?

it's a plastic lens cover that fits on with re-usable tape type stuff
we get them in any color you can think of.

how big are your spacers ? have ya ever bent an axle or bend tie rods ?

so-far iv'e been lucky never bent an axle or tie rod,

i tend to look out for those rock's that want to eat into my pocket

i havent a clue how big my spacers are, if i have to guess the front are about 5 cm and the back around 9 or 10 cm wide

haha ya i guess you are lucky. first time i had my spacers on, half way through the first moto i snapped the axle in half. guess i wasnt trying as hard to avoid things :p mine were 2.5" each so 5" in total.

hey man i here ya if there is a mud hole or a muddy section coming up I dick around trying to find away around it or I just turn back and go far away from that area. Mud is no fun on a sport quad. Give me a 700 grizzley with a snorkel and i'm sure it would be fun. Water i dont have a problem with unless I cant skim across it then it sucks being wet

I highly dislike my C-series. The PC is coming off, they bend entirely to easy. I could have bought a plain old set of .190 DWT's and been stronger and cheaper.:ermm:

Both right now. Draging is a rush but I need more bottles of NOS to last longer during the day. I can get about 5, 6 second runs in on a 2.5lbs bottle.

Never have been down to Glamis. One more New Years resolution to add to my list.:cool:

Below are my 99% finished basket case rebuild...powder coated frame, swingarm and ITP wheels, works triple rate front shocks w/ res, roll design a-arms, white bros pipe, graydon proline muffler, 426 bore, hotcams stage 2, lectron carb (not installed yet), all new bearings and brakes, rtc clutch lever and perch, rtc brake lever, acerbis hand guards, maxxis razr2, oil cooler scoops, new plastics, and an empty wallet... went for a quick ride in the snow tonight - 2nd ride on the motor rebuild... we have about 10" snow so it didnt get much traction, but it runs great so far.

Used to. Deleted them from my computer last time I cleaned it out.

It broke my rear fenders off, bent the subframe, broke my bars, bent the stem, bent the left a-arms, bent the rim.

I was fine amazingly. Broke my helment, and I had some bruised ribs. Scratched and scraped, but unhurt except for minor things and my pride was a little bent.:p

I wish I still had them though....

thx man. i would of had more but i crashed on the first lap of the second heat. bent both front wheels =( racing is racing. It wwas cool to look under my rear fenders and see black from where i burnt rubber off the tires due to the hard packed track.

and nothin personal bu ti think the hood on your fo hundy looks a little goofy cuz it hangs past the end of the yello plasic there like 3-5 inches. but other than that it looks pretty slick. if i had more money i would def. do something like that and get a hood and put some lights on it, similar to yours, but i know of a dif. way that looks cool too.

Similar, but not quite the same way. I would imagine the next gen 450R will be an evolution of the 400 and more like the KFX.

Because the one picture you have thats like a 1st person view, it looks like its alot more sporty than the 99-07's.

So how do the ergonomics compare?

Whenever i can find some cheap 08 plastics i definitly want them.

Ergonomics and seat are "more sportier" than I could ever describe. You have to ride it to understand.

There is a pic in my Photo Gallery (see sig below) near the bottom that shows a side by side comparo of the seats/bodywork between the 08 and my old 05. That gives you a little bit of an idea showing the difference, but again you have to ride it to really grasp the diff.

If I sell you my red ones I would just have to buy more for my "Red/Black " moods :-)

08400EX, Your bike is looking sweet! How much money have you dumped into your bottomless pit? lol. Also, how do you like your maxxis' tires? I wasnt sure to get them or not, the dont look like much, but so many people are running them. They remind me of the stock tread pattern. But they look so much cooler.

im on 04-honda-400ex's 400ex and mine is still on the trrailer, we had to push start this 400ex because the starter button frozen, it was 7 degrees out that day with a wind chill of -4... it made for a long day

Don't know how much $$, but I promised my wife I wouldn't spend more than the set of wheels and tires on a couple of my cars. Should still have some left to spend :-) Seriously, this is the least expensive "toy hobby" I have ever had and I am not keeping count. BTW, I have a cool new mod coming tomorrow, will post it when it's done...IF it works :-)

The iRazrs are perfect for me. I have found that the open tread similar to the stock tires cleans out better than the "busier" tread designs and they grip rocks and roots better.. I also like to spin and slide my tires when I want to and I can do that more reliably with the more open tread. The ride of the radial iRazrs is fantastic and they soak up bumps instead of banging off of them like some other bias ply tires. The handling is fantastic, even on payment. They may not be the best "Holeshot" tire (hint, hint) but for all around riding they are the best,.. at least for me. But of course, I don't spend all day doing holeshots over and over either.

not necissarily a special paint, but DO use an etch primer; stuff makes paint stick to aluminum MUCH better.
