New 400ex Owner

im new to this machine and i want to know what parts are interchangable between the 400ex and the 450r. im aware of the front shocks. any other stuff chassis,engine,exhaust,etc. ? THANKS AHEAD;)

oh. im doing a 11.1 86.00 mm ,hotcam stage1,with mild port,39fcr carb,open box. thats my plan for x/c tight woods racing.

Nice ideas. Instead of the 39 FCR carb which is very expensive, try a 450r carb. Very cheap with similar results. Great mod for the money IMO;) :)

in actually thought the 450r carb was a 39fcr . what is the 450r model number. thats what i meant though.

i think the 450r carb is a 39. but theres some modification to the intake boot. i believe

correct me if im wrong but i think the 450 swinger will fit on the ex but not the other way around...

the 04-05 450r had a Keihin 42mm carb and the 06-07 have the 39 fcr carb. i picked up a 42mm for 39 on ebay

I have done both and they will both work......the swingarm was aftermarket and still fit fine.....the linkage mount on the swingarm was alil to small but i grinded 1/16 of an inch off and it works like a charm
