I accually have both and there is no comparison the TRX is the way to go. The little Suzuki is a pooch, the only reason I bought it is that my wife wanted something to ride and it is slow enough for her.

Where does the z90 lack from the TRX90. Power, suspension geometry, what? Just curious because it seems nobody knows anything about the Z90's yet. There is very little info in the Suzuki forum about them either. I'm not looking into trading my Honda in on one for any reason but your the only one I've seen yet that knows a true comparison of the two.

Hey Roger, If your going for one to race go with the trx. Lots of aftermarket parts and proven design. The zuki is kinda new since taking over the lt80's place, Ive seen no hop-up parts, for it at all. I saw a shootout in Dirtwheels or one of the other mags and they said it was kinda slow, along with the kawi. The trx won the shootout with the Polaris outlaw coming in 2nd. The zuki has the cvt clutch where the honda has the 4 speed auto. I was going to get one of them Can-Am ds-90x for Wiley but could not find anyone who had a bigbore kit or really anything for that 4-stroke cvt motor. The ds is pretty set up suspension wise but I know it wouldn't keep up with the 2-strokes in stock form, or even the trx for that matter. The trx90 is no slouch in stock form. If you wanna get wild get one of them knock-off Typhoons for cheap take the motor out , sell it and get a gpx 125 motor from t-bolt , you will have a real runner then. I saw a boy with this same set-up at Jackson,OH last weekend and that thing would fly.

That setup would not be legal in any major racing organization. Must use oem engine cases! It also would not even be in the ballpark of a national built trx. Performance or...........price :)

Unless another manufacture comes up with a non-CVT 90 with real good suspension and a Scott Cain engine, I'll just keep the one I got and probably build another one just like it for my youngest son Ty, unless I really luck up and he likes motorcycles better than Atv's but I doubt that will happen. Neither one of my boys have cut me a financial break yet!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean fastdad, but I almost have Wiley switched to bikes since he won the 50 oil inj. class this year at GER.

I should have made that response more clear, we are used to racing outlaw tracks. Cain730 is exactly right about having to use stock engine cases in the AMA, Wspa, etc.

Hey Fastdad-77, lets me and you jump on them trx's and do a few laps. You think we could make 2 before we tired out?

Lets cut it down to ONE lap and your on. I'll die of a heart attack on the 2nd lap. Drew is trying to get me to start racing again and I like running him at Mom's Mountain and Airtime but when I get tired, I STOP!!!!! My checkered flag flies when I say so. Besides 66% of a paycheck because you broke your leg don't allow alot extra for the toys and I can't climb poles with broken bones and you can't get a bucket truck to all the poles. The things we do to race, I'm 50 foot off the ground and your 1500 feet under.
