woah there flipping an outlaw now?

416exfreak
12-13-2007, 06:43 PM
Yea, its the new Outlaw 450MXR. It has the KTM450 engine with Fox piggyback shocks from the factory. Im seriously considering one for next season...

We'll see how the aftermarket does for it. I wonder if Polaris will get more involved in MX now?:D

if that predator would have started out as a 450 back when they developed them they could have def gotten farther I think, that and make a better riding position.

416exfreak
12-13-2007, 06:54 PM
A better riding position?

Every outlaw/predator I've ridden was quite comfy.

I like the fact that this 450 comes with reverse too.:D

No more pushing off the trailer!:blah:

there ok but i am an avid "honda ergonomics" person and my balls feel kinda crunched on the preddy. however if i ride one with my feet on the front nerf tubes thats a neat way to go lol

No matter how you dress it up.. It's still Poolaris and it's still ugly.

My bad. :p

They all look awesome to me. A lot of people say that theyre ugly. I just think its the color choice that kills the look of the predators and outlaws. I think the new red/white combo looks sick!:D

I believe they have and use both the 525 and 450. Also, looks are in the eye of the beholder. Some think the new DS is nice looking, I think it's ugly. But if it performs well, it doesn't matter. If anyone buys a high performance quad based on looks, there blind in there thinking.

I think its cool that someone is now riding an American quad. Even though its part Austrian (engine, chassis design).:D

I doubt caleb would even think of flipping a honduh without all the aftermarket stuff he has on it...all the polaris has is a pipe, steering stabilizer, and a set of front shox

And the no-link rear suspension that KTM also uses?

I'd say its more than justa coincidence. Polaris isnt dumb. They're using KTM's engine, they may as well use thier suspension set up.

Once again we are talking about bombsquad outlaws read the thread moron. Not wpsa who cares what quad he used then. I was just saying the quad he uses for the bombsquad is a 525 outlaw I hope you finally understand that.

Polaris has used the no link set-up since the Pred was started in 03 and long before the KTM merger.

caleb how would u compare the new outlaw to other 450's on the market

outacontrol31
12-16-2007, 11:10 PM
it's lighter then the suzuki, has more power then pretty much any other quad stock for stock, and i flip it almost completely stock and as siad before, i wouldn't do that on a honda. the wheel base seems a little bit short, but i think they will be very competitive next year as they become fully built.

700bRad
12-16-2007, 11:16 PM
How light is the mxr450? i see alot of people put polaris down and it sux to see that.

outacontrol31
12-17-2007, 07:46 PM
i'm not exactly sure, but i would say right in between the honda and suzuki, ya alot of people put them down, and most are worried to much to give them a chance, but mark my words, next year any class that has a polaris in it, that polaris will be in the top three in the start, i don't know what it is about them, but they launch off the line, out of 4 moto's i pulled three holeshots on a stock motor against fully built quads

you are right about the rider, a quad can't pull a holeshot by itself, but i'm comparing to all season long on my suzuki, it's fully built and very fast, and about 30 feet off the line it's faster then the polaris, but having rode both, out of the hole, the polaris just jumps out faster then most anybody else, that's how i was able to pull holeshots, i had less motor, but when u start out 5 feet in front of everyone else, it dousn't matter what motor u have, it's hard to make up that much ground on a start.

pred174
12-18-2007, 06:41 AM
i checked out most of the other quads stock and the outlaw has pretty much the same wheel base but i am sure ur comparining it to ur zuke which is a little more built

outacontrol31
12-18-2007, 09:14 AM
Ya i wasn't going by numbers i was going by feel while actually riding, the problem is the front end it to light and pushes. that's why i would like to extend out the wheel base a bit in the rear to put more wait distribution up front and see what happens, it's all testing for next year
