i dont have any pictures of it but when i had my mountaineer i had 3 kicker 10" cvr's in a silver fiberglass tuned/ported box the middle sub was flat and there was 1 sub on each side at about 45 degrees and all the subs were raised and radiused and was powered by a kicker 600.1 mono amp and i had 2 sets of resolution speakers tweets in the front and back corners powered by a kicker 650.4 and a pioneer premier head unit and an ipod interface. man do i miss that setup :( ill try to get some pics

BTW....your truck sounds like the many Z71's I hear in the parking lot every day.

I get so sick of hearing trucks with nothing byt a straight pipe from the header back. That popping sound is just so chitty to me...:ermm:

2 6x9's behind the seat and the 2 6 inch door speakers, all running off of a SONY Xplode amp.

I need ideas for a new system.

I have a full size, 93 Dodge pickup. Standard cab though. I have a bench seat with roughly 8-10 inches behind it. System guru's I would appreciate any advice.

BTW- all I listen to is Metal. Like...Grindcore, Thrash, Metalcore, basically anything with some good riffs and a good screamer.:p

I know the sounds, mine isn't as crackly as the video makes it sound. I hate the sound of a V6 with exhaust, now thats crackly.

I wish I could get my truck to sound like the old muscle cars, you know that loud poppy glass pack sound

I prefer Dynomax Bullets, or some Flowmaster 40 series. Something with a good deep tone.

My truck has 2 dyno max bullets with a custom made X-pipe. Sound pretty good to me. Ill get a video tomorrow.

loose the 6x9's...find 2 shallow mount 10's and put them in a box behind your seat...is your sony xploder 4 channel?

I dont have any pictures cus right now my system isn't in either of my vehicles. but i have 2 Kicker Comp 12's in a ported box with a 1200 watt sony amp pushing them. They aren't the loudest but they do get pretty loud.

pioneer head unit, 2 mtx 4500 in a sealed box to 1000w pioneer monoblock, 2 100w p.a. horns to a 200w high pass filter amp(whatchall know about that? thats how we do in the ghetto, guarentee i got the loudest highs on this site),500k power cap, etc.



trying to sell the subs and 1k amp though, i need some cash and im good with just the horns

I've had a few setups in the past 2 years. First to last:

Current: 3 Eclipse SW8200/1500W/sealed (temporary, not in a running car LOL!)

Me and a bud are putting together a system in my sunfire, the plan is to have four Eclipse SW8200's (12"), with 700W each, all sealed 1 cuft. Thats 2680W, and will cost about $700 in amps from Ebay. He's got three SW's already, and a 7" flip/touch-screen LCD/DVD/MP3 player, it was like $1000. I just need boxes, amps, battery, alt, deadening, ...... the list goes on. I had vid's of my friend putting a shirt in the door of the hatch with the 3 12's and it shook it like crazy, but my comp crashed not long ago. Can't wait for this crazy install those woofers are great.

I no longer have this due to a ticket and warning within a week and a half of each other. Yes, I got the ticket first and the warning second. I can't afford 75+ dollar tickets and potentially have my truck impounded because of sound violations.

alpine headunit with 6.5in flip up screen...infinity speakers in all 4 door panels...has a little 18w alpine amp cuz the headunit wont work without it...no subs or real amp yet

no pics but my sonoma has a kenwood, kdc-x891, with peonix gold in the dash and doors, and a clarion 1000w 10" sub (would be equilvelent to todays SSW1000) in a pro built clarion box, with a 400W rms mono sub driver. does the trick, but if you roll up the windows and block the air movement there goes the bass. not very often i drive it with out the back windows cracked.

It made my roof flex. I put two layers of a dampener on the back wall, drivers and passengers door and behind the jump seat. It was pretty sweet and I do miss it.

figured id update mine, i now have a kicker 1200x1 amp and 2 rockford fosgate dual voice coil 4 ohm 10's in a rockford ported box and wow does rockford know how to build boxes. It sounds great, it jumps a water bottle that has never been opened about 1 1/2" off the trunk lid. This is in my mustang. Now my truck will get some serious subs in it, 6 12's should do the trick ;)

1 Kicker 150 wat amp(i know tiny but it works good)
1 Kicker custom molded Sub box with a 10' woofer

That option cost me i think 600 and dodge did all the work to install it all lol

currently rockin two MA audio 12s in a homeade ported box that takes up the back seat in my dakota paired to a MA 1000w amp for bass, distribution block then 200w visual sound projects amp and 2 100w powerhorns for the highs....sounds pretty good. selling off them 12s and going with some power acoustic mofo 15's, 2400w amp, custom built ported box. now that should beat:D


i wanna be able to ride through a parking lot and set of car alarms at will...
