ok I have found a 250ex rev kit.. it brings it up 1000 more rpms.. would it help the TOP SPEED..............? PLEASE REPLY

possibly, but I doubt it...by the time you hit that high of an rpm range in 5th gear, your motor is hardly producing the amount of power/torque it would would at lower rpm's.....not allowing you to really go any faster.

YEAH BUT WITH A PIPE AND K&N AND HOLES IN AIRBOX YOU ARE BUMPING THE THE REV LIMITER NEWAYS.... AND PLUS LIKE IF U HOLD IT DOWN IN THIRD FOR TO LONG IT CUTS OUT WITH THE REV KIT IT WOULD ALLOW U MORE RPM`S.. STOCK ON A 250EX IS 8750 WITH THE 1000 FRESH RPMS IT WOULD HAVE TO RUN FASTER... CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG... AND IF IT DIDNT HELP TOP END WHAT IS THE SENCE OF BUYING IT....

If the bike feels like it is still pulling fairly strong in 5th gear, before the limiter flattens it out, then you will certainly gain some top speed. Might not pull the whole 1000 rpm though. You're gonna run out of horsepower sometime.

WELL LOOK AT IT THIS WAY.. YOU PUT A BIG BORE KIT (POWROLL KIT) (BROK.3 RUNS 20IN TIRES ON HIS 250EX AND INSTALLED THE BORE KIT BEFORE THE BORE IT WOULD RUN 45 NOW IT RUNS 51 W/ 20 OK SO IF U RUN 22IN TIRES IT WILL MAKE IT FLY BUT YOU WILL ALSO HIT THE REV LIMITER. A PIPE ADDS HP YES EVEN IN TOP END MY FIREND HITS THE LIMITER IN 5TH JUST WITH A PIPE.. OK HERE IS SOMEMORE HP A K&N FILTER MORE ARE MORE POWER RIGHT? OK SO YOU ARE TELLIN ME WITH ALL THOUGHS LIL GOODIES IT WOULD RUN A-PASS THE REV LIMITER???? WHAT DO ALL U OTHER GUYS THINK????:confused:

I dont think it will give a lot more speed. it wil hurt it also

maybe it would but i doubt it u should get the stuff first then if u feel the limiter limiting you and that it is still makin power when it kicks in then get the limiter but gettin it first and not knowing if it helps is not the best way to go about it, it prob also makes it hard to start like a 400ex
