Welcome to the team..

There is a learning curve with the DRR product and there are plenty of experienced guys on this forum that can help if you run into any trouble.

yeah, i tried to get another user name, but i guess the admins are to busy to mess with it, so i'll just have to sign up for a new name,

Anyways,
My units were suppose to be at the shop friday, but due to a mis communication from them they will be here tomorrow ((monday))
Just in time for christmas

They said i might have to check the jetting, but have you guys had any issues with the jetting being very far off out of the crate?

JOsh,
You can get my number off the website.
Call me when you start assembling, I will give some pointers that will make life allot easier.

Jetting will be close, depending on models.
good luck

Yes.....Way off.......

To the point where they won't run well enough to move

Easy fix though

The newer units with the Sunworld carbs seem to be jetted in the ball park for the most part

The last few I have set up in Ohio have just needed the clip moved. Must be jetting them for us.
The 2007s were way off.

Drr sales to replace the air filter with a uni filter.
Do you guys all do this before a customer buys the unit?

We give the customer the option to upgrade. Not all customers race and just ride and like the tube to keep mud and waterout. out. The stock air filter dosent filter as well as the uni so we push for them to change it out.

We replace and eat the cost. I figure its good for business. I don't want a customer to come back 2 weeks later with a locked up motor. Most of our customers race though. With all the help and great practices DRR has, I wish they wouldn't send those units out with that dish sponge for an airfilter on.

Hey Josh,

Good for you on your dealership, I started a dealership here in Guam and my 90's are running bad.

Hope you have better luck than me. I have changed the jetting to every possible scenario, removed the clip on the CDI put a UNI filter on as well.

need help, open to all ideas. Think it maybe electrical? dont know

How many units have the problem? Some or all?

Is it the air or water cooled version?

What carb?

What is your temperature and elevation?

Gents,

Thanks or the response, all my 90s so far and 1 50 cc

Sunworld carb 24mm, best results with 120 main and 42 pilot jets.

Uni filter, but still runs eratic

bikes are air cooled.

elevation @ sea level average Temp 89 F very humid on Guam

Thanks and Happy Holidays

I imagine you removed the clip from the CDI box to let them rev out? Had to ask....sorry

For your situation (mine is about the same in FL) I would be looking to put the main jet at around a 100.

42 pilot would work...

I would check the roller weights too....I had some air cooled that came in with 6.5 gram rollers

4.5-4.75 seem to work well in stock set ups

Check for air leaks around the intake boot as this can cause the quad to run erratically too

Keep us posted

Gary,

Thanks for the input, I did pull the clip off the CDI

I never thought about the clutch rollers. I have been working on the bikes for two weeks cant figure it out.

I think it maybe electrical for some reason, possible stator.

I will keep at it until I can find the problem.

Happy Holidays from GTR Motor Sports
