i want to add a couple gussets to my frame before it gets powder coated.. im going to make them since i have the tools to do so, but the only metal i have at home right now is like 1/4inch thick, very heavy duty steel but i dont know if thats overkill.. would thinner metal be alot better?

I would use steel about the same thickness as your frame. it makes it easier to weld.

how much is it costing you to gusset and powdercoat your frame? I was told $300 at the place near me for the powdercoating but gusseting it too idk

I shipped pappy a Frame / Sub frame / A-arms / Nerfs w/ heel guards in a MASSIVE box that weighed almost 70lb for only $37 fedex ground insured. (u being in florida might coast few more bux)

I'm sure pappys price will be much less then the 1 u mentioned above for gusseting/coating a frame.
And he even fixes any cracks in the frame for free.

From NJ to West Virginia

Fedex is just super cheap for large/heavy stuff for some reason compared to UPS.
DHL also isnt bad, but they loose a lot of packages from what I've seen.
