your front seems to sit high with the 450r shocks. Is that with the preload loosened a good amount or what? Would new spring and or a revalve make it sit lower?

rebuilds would probably lower it back down.

mine arent mmfs, but instead homemade. they're not the best looking, but when i put 450r shocks on, i made spacers which were basically just 45mm bolts with the same thread as the bolts to hold the front plastic on. i used nylock nuts to adjust how far in or out i wanted the scoops to sit. any real scoops should fit without mods.

Don't get OMF. Over priced IMO. Get some Tinner scoops. He's a guy on this site! It might take a little while but they're worth it. I've seen guys fit 450r shocks with tinner scoops on. Rezzies back;)

Heres a picture of them with 450r shocks on.

...if the rezzis are run to the back they won't take any damage from rocks... At least, that is what I've always though... Just my $0.02.

try racing on a trck that used to be a limerock mine. all it is is rocks. i seen a guy with a black blingstar that had adent right in the tubing and lost a whole bunch of paim/coat. sont say it cant happen. i had to buy a 661 underoost just for that race. it was ROUGH. rocks the size of b balls. and this is MX not a scramble.

I have 450r shocks with UM air scoops.

I have about a quarter inch of clearance throughout the entire shock stroke.:D

haha I have had a case where I was riding behind a cr500r and when my friends dad hit the gas he flung rocks that hit my nuckles and everything else. I thought my lights were broke but nothing but a bloody nuckle. I just flipped him off and called him a a** hole no big deal lol case 2 with a highly modded race 450r i wasnt behind it but watching it fling rocks everytime he would take this 1 turn, rediculous lol

Heh... The worst was when a bud of mine just put on a new FMF Fatty pipe on his CR, during the first ride on the power-lines a rock shot up and put a dent in there, it wasn't anything too bad, but after a while riding the pipe started to look wild. It also didn't help that the bike was then later dumped in a rocky section in the woods... ;)

ok guys, i got em on and i put the rezzi's towards the front, it didn't look like they'd fit facing the back and i don't do any serious riding anyway so it should be ok.

i tried 'em out in the snow last night but it wasn't much, can't wait to hit the trails and try em out for real.
