I mostly ride 70% trails and 30% mx. I dont think I have a high enough clearance for the trails. I have +3 a arms and I am running 8 inch hipers with 18 x 9.5 x 8 turf tamers in the rear and 20 x 6 x 10 kendas in the front on 10 in hipers 4/1 offset.
Should I go up to a 9 in rim in the rear? Larger tire size in the front and rear? I wanted to get razrs for the front and razr2s for the rears?
If I get larger front tires will it steer worse?
thx

trails and +3 a-arms?? I have +3's on mine, its too wide for the trails by me. For trails, 21-23" fronts and 20-22" rears. Rim size doesn't matter. The trails by me, I can't even think of using 18" tires.

You can not go wrong with stock Radials in N.J. Except up north jersey in mountains due to rocks then Razr2`s would be a good choice.

I trail ride my MX 250r on the trails with 18" turfs, 20" klawMXFs, +4 axle, and +2 arms... just make sure you have skid plates

By the time you add skids to your swinger combined with the 18" rear tires, you won't have hardly any clearance. A guy I ride with has an LTR with that setup and he's constantly hitting rocks, roots, etc. And don't even consider riding rutted trails with 18's, that would suck. Unless you like pushing.
