Both of these quads I own idle great, but give them gas, you know, like you want to go somewhere, and they sputter, miss, and pretty much want to quit. Let off the gas, and they idle. I took the carb apart on the Meerkat, cleaned, blew out, etc, but same problem. Interchanged a new CDI to the 50, same problem.
Maybe valve adjustment? I think I read somewhere the intake and exhaust on the 50 is .004. How about the 150?
Any suggestions why this is happening? Rubber could use replacing after airboxes, but that shouldn't make it miss and sputter so bad.
I'll keep riding my Polaris, couple 90's for the kids, and buy the wife a Honda if I can't figure this out.

It sounds to me like a Spark plug issue (use NGK C7HSA's on both) or you may just need to adjust the air fuel screws on the carbs, 1 full turn out from seated on the 50cc & 1.5 turns out on the 150 is a good starting point. The 150's are also .004 on the valves.
