2004 450r thumb throttle

I just picked up a 2004 450r with a twist throttle and want to change it back to a thumb. Can I use a 400ex thumb throttle with a 450r cable? I am not sure if the throttle assemblies are different or just different cable? thanks for your help.

Yes, a 400ex throttle will work. It's also supposed to have an easier pull than the stock 450 housing.
