Looks good. How about some pics of your new powder coating equipment? I am starting to do this myself.

You'll have to let us know if it's worth it to do it yourself and how hard it is to setup.

Did you do tests or just go for it?

well i paid 200 for the blast cabinet and its big enough to get anything but a frame in it. i paid 60 for the powder gun and i have about 150 tied up in 7 different powders and high heat tape. i already had an air compressor but its not quits big enough for the blast cabinet but it works. also bought some wire wheels for my grinder and a few other small things. i also already had a parts cleaner. i done a lot of testing on small parts with solid single stage colors. this was my first try at a 2 coat color. i think it will be worth it for me. we have 3 race quads plus i got a lot of the local guys already wanting me to do parts for them

got it from harbor freight. just done the hybrids silencer in lollypop blue and done a bunch more stuff in the blue vein. got me a couple paying jobs from a couple local racers, got 4 rims and a bumper from a mini quad to do in wet black. just finished a guys 400ex engine side covers, brake pedal and engine mounts in extreme chrome.

done the radiator scoops off the hybrid today. man they were a pain in the butt to do. had to use 3 different colors to get the flame effect but they look really cool.

right now i am using a household wall oven that is only 18" x 18" inside that a friend gave me. i also have a toaster over i bought at good will for $5 i do small parts in. i am looking for a cheap household oven that has the burners on top. they have a inside measurement of 24" later after i make a little money off this i will build an oven big enough to do frames in. you can build one out of metal studs, sheet metal and the elements for the regular household oven. this stuff is addictive. i keep looking for parts to powder. i done a friends sons mini quad rims and bumper in wet black and another guys 400ex engine covers and motor mounts in extreme chrome. it is hard to take pics of the parts, the cameras flash makes the parts look like crap.

here are the bumper and 2 of the rims. pic dont do them justice. i had to tone it down with my photo shop because the flash made them look like crap.

its loly pop blue over a base coat of extreme chrome. gonna do the rear hubs in the blue vein tomorrow. got an extra set of front hubs i am going to do then order new bearings and seals for them. guy that i did the 400ex engine covers for picked them up tonight, he liked them so much he is bringing his front spindles to be done in gloss black. also wants his houser a-arms done in red problem there is they are powdered already and i have no way to strip powder right now. you cant sand blast it off. they make a chemical dip you can buy but it is $40 a gallon. i plan on buying a gallon every couple of weeks till i have enough to fill a 5 gallon bucket then i can dip a-arms and swing arms. this stuff is addictive. already about got everything powdered on the hybrid, getting ready to start on the 399ex. also got one of my sons old race mini quads that i am welding mounts on for dual a-arms and gonna make a 400ex axle fit on it. it will be 48" wide when i an done with it. that will be my new pit bike it will have a stroked 2 stroke motor in it. i have built race 2 stroke mini quad motors for a couple of years but my son out grew the mini.
