our first quadzilla!!

We got our first quadzilla!! it needs a lil work but it runs pretty good.
1) the cyclinder needs fixxing. it has been fixed before... but has a hair line crack. should i fix it or where can i buy another one?
2) what frame swaps have been done and work?
3) i have a rolling 400ex frame in good shape... will this swap work?
4) what carb would you giys recomend for mid to top end? bike has port work and a bills pipe.
5) is there a number to get a hold of dr q or is there any body else that does a lot of zilla work?

I don't remember the site for the quadracers. I think its like www.quadracerhq.com or something like that. Theres a guy on here that put a 500 motor in the 250 frame. You can probably find it in the hybrid forum. 800screws is his name. You can buy the stock carb from Dennis Kirk for less that $200. Getting a cable for a PWK is a ***** and you don't gain anything. You can probably get a new cylinder with sleeve from Suzuki. If you go that route, take the powervalve out with care. Its right at $800 to replace all of it. I'd invest in a aftermarket airbox with a clamp-on filter before I spent any money on the motor. Swaping frames is hard because the 500 kicks backwards and the Honda's don't have room in the back fender. If the stock frame is in good shape you'ed better leave it together. The 500 in good running shape has 60+ hp.

There are two ways to go with this.

1.Send it out to NY through your local shop or look in the back of any MX magazine for an ad that reads "we nicasil your cylinder"
this is the most exspencive way to go but returns it to stock configuration.

2. Or bring it to your local shop and have it sleeved.L.A. sleeves makes a sleeve for it and depending on how strong your right foot is and how much of a bruse you can take to the instep of your right foot you can withstand."Go for broke and bore it to the max!"

you can do this much cheaper by sleeving it than the other way.......good luck and be safe out there.
