is cold md any good?

last year when i had a cold i saw all these commercials selling the new trend "kill your cold before it starts by taking this (insert brand here) at the first sign of a cold" well i just waited it out last year which was like 2 weeks, but this morning i woke up with cold like symptoms (talking all funky) so i guess thats a first sign so ill go later and pick up some of this new stuff thats out, any suggestions? im just wanting toknow before i spend $12 on some crapthat dont work (i can get about 3 1/2 gallons of gas for that :D)

Take Vitamin C, some B-12, drink lots of water, eat healthy and get 10hrs of sleep. You'll beat that cold into oblivion.
