well its getting around the time to order front shocks. idk what i wanna do though. either axis dual rate hi/lo speed compresion/rebound piggy back shocks or fox evol hi/lo speed compersion/rebound shocks. i mean sure the fox seem like a better deal but they are also more of a hassle having to add and check the air all the time.. so i need opinions

axis $1645.00
fox $1495

Well young Connor Basile it seems you are in a real mess right now. You are nuts not to get the cheap $1200 peps and have great shocks and according to someone else you can get pb1s for 1400 with no rebound which seems nice.

This is true! haha j/k. I went with the LT ZPS compression adjust big bottle "piggy" shocks for about $1050 before tax. Awesome shocks for the price, they ride like you're on a cloud. I really don't need rebound adjust up front but you can get the ARC's for about $1200 like said above.

Here's some pics to see what you're missin lol

If it was between those Fox's or Axis I would have to pick the Axis. It's nice to be able to adjust the Fox's but at the same time would be more of a pain to carry around the pump and be constantly tweaking/questioning them. Probably great for a serious racer, but seems like more hassel than it's worth IMO.

I have never had fox, but I can tell you if you buy the Axis, they are easy to service. If you change your suspension as often as they advise (3-5 hard races or practices) you will save yourself some $ with the Axis, but that is just my $.02

Nacsmxracer what model are those? I thought the 1200 i was talking about were the ones you have with no rebound and the bolt on rezzie, I didnt think they were $1050 if so where did you get them from?

Whiteyfz-How much did you pay for all 3 becuase those look really nice.

I just bought a set of Float L/T and let me tell you they are not that hard to mess with, I received them from Houser put them on called Fox to get a base of what to set them up at and went from there, in a 1/2 hour of riding at the track i had them dialed in to my liking, do yourself a favor if you purchase the Fox, i have a log chart for chamber pressures as well as outside temps this will make it much easier when you have to make a change, the only time you will have to make a great change is in extreme temp change form hot to cold or vice versa cause the air pressure will change with temps, here is a pic of my new front.

They are the LT ZPS compression-adjust piggybacks (non-PB1) with the big bottle reservoirs. Now that you question it, I could be off by $100 I can't recall i'd have to look back at my receipt. So it was either 1050 or 1150 before tax/shipping. I think you could be right though, it was prob 1150.

I got mine from Baldwin Motorsports, i've had good service from him in the past with other PEP shocks.

Pete over at SF Racing is also a nice guy to deal with. Their turn around is a little quicker from what I hear.

It looks like he resprung the lower springs with Eibachs. Axis uses the same springs which are also sometimes red. Those are some sick PB1's though very nice! :eek2:

Those shocks are setup for my stock a-arms, but the one's with the blue springs are usually for longtravel a-arms.
